Egyptian Day - a thank you!

Not the best photos - chopped off heads, serious and silly expressions - but they still show the brilliant collaboration, concentration and fun during our Egyptian day! Thanks for all your support with the amazing costumes, the effort you put into their lunches and your help on the day. We enjoyed trying some new foods today (the cake from Mrs Arbin was a firm favourite!) I'm sure you will agree that the children look amazing!

Egyptian Day - scarab beetles, mummified people and cats!

Egyptian Day - Lunch for the Workers!

A good lunch is definitely what is needed for all the hard workers!

A delicious Egyptian sweet treat from Mrs Arbin!

Egyptian day - canopic jar makers

An Egyptian team of canopic jar makers have been working hard to get ready for the Pharaoh's organs.

Evie's looks amazing! Come back soon to see more finished jars.

Egyptian Day - Bread makers

Every Egyptian working needs a good hearty meal, so we needed to make sure there was enough bread, with a little bit of honey in it to help the yeast along.

Egyptian Day - the Embalmers

Some of us have been preparing our bodies for the afterlife, by mummifying them.

We have to make sure that the right body parts go in the right canopic jars.

And that the mummy has a suitable sarcophagus - especially if it is for a pharaoh!
